Get Involved. Support the Students. Strengthen the Program.

The Mighty Marching Bucks, Wind Ensemble, and MMB Boosters Club rely on parent, family, alumni, and community support to help create a successful and organized band experience for our students.

Volunteering is one of the most meaningful ways to support the program. Whether you have one hour, one event, or an entire season to give, your help makes a difference.

WHY VOLUNTEERS MATTER

Volunteers help support:

Student meals and hydration

Fundraising events

Concessions

Band camp needs

Travel support

Uniform organization

Event setup and cleanup

Sponsorship outreach

Student recognition

Communication and parent engagement

Every role matters. No contribution is too small.

Why Concessions Matter So Much

Concessions aren’t “just selling snacks.” It’s one of the most powerful fundraisers we have for The Red Jukebox of Sound.

Every game, hundreds of people pass through the stadium. When they buy food and drinks, that money goes straight back into our students: covering fees for families who need help, feeding the band on long game days and travel, and investing in instruments so more students can join. The margin on concessions adds up quickly over a season in a way that most one-time fundraisers simply can’t.

Why We Need More Volunteers

To make the most of this opportunity, we need more hands behind the counter.

When only a small group of parents and boosters run concessions, they miss their student’s performances, get exhausted, and eventually burn out. If we have a larger pool of volunteers, we can create short shifts and rotations so everyone can:

  • Work one part of the night and still see their student perform

  • Share the workload instead of carrying it all season

  • Keep the stand fully staffed so we never have to turn away sales

More volunteers mean more open windows, faster lines, and more revenue for the band—without asking anyone family to sacrifice every Friday night.

The Bottom Line

If you want to make a real, visible difference for our students, working concessions is one of the highest-impact ways to do it. A couple of hours behind the counter each game helps keep band accessible to all students, keeps them fed and supported on the road, and helps The Red Jukebox of Sound continue to grow in size and sound.
