Role

The Equipment & Logistics Chair is responsible for helping manage, organize, distribute, and maintain band-related equipment, uniforms, apparel, and logistical operations for the MMB Boosters Club. This position plays a critical role in ensuring students are properly equipped, organized, and prepared for rehearsals, performances, competitions, travel, and special events.

Latonya Benjamin helps oversee the operational side of the band program by supporting inventory management, equipment coordination, uniform distribution, transportation preparation, and event logistics while working closely with booster leadership, volunteers, and the Band Director.

Primary Responsibilites

  • Assist with organizing, distributing, collecting, and maintaining band uniforms, shoes, spats, warm-ups, shirts, shorts, hats, garment bags, and related apparel
  • Coordinate uniform fittings, sizing, labeling, tracking, and inventory management
  • Help ensure students receive the correct uniform items in a timely and organized manner
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for uniforms, apparel, equipment, and booster-owned materials
  • Assist with loading, unloading, transporting, and organizing equipment for games, competitions, and events
  • Help oversee storage areas to ensure equipment and supplies remain organized, secure, and accounted for

Sharmisha Garrick - Fundraising and Revenue

Sharmisha Garrick brings a passion for service, community engagement, and relationship-building to her role as Fundraising & Revenue Chair for the MMB Boosters Club. With a professional background in customer service support, she is dedicated to helping others, creating positive experiences, and fostering meaningful connections within the community.

Known for her outgoing personality, compassion, and sense of humor, Sharmisha enjoys working with people and is especially passionate about supporting children and helping them succeed. Her commitment to service extends beyond her professional life and is guided by her strong faith and active involvement in her church community.

As a lifelong learner, Sharmisha plans to further her education by pursuing studies in business and management, strengthening the skills she brings to leadership, fundraising, and community outreach. Through her role with the boosters, she is committed to helping secure the resources and support needed to enhance opportunities for students and contribute to the continued success of the Mighty Marching Bucks.

Role

The Fundraising & Revenue Chair is responsible for helping develop, coordinate, and manage fundraising initiatives that support the financial growth and sustainability of the MMB Boosters Club. This role plays a major part in helping provide resources, opportunities, travel support, equipment, and student assistance for the Mighty Marching Bucks program.

Sharmisha Garrick works closely with the executive board, committee chairs, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners to organize successful fundraising efforts while helping strengthen community involvement and financial support for the band program.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and oversee booster fundraising activities and revenue-generating initiatives

Tiffany Peterkin - Student & Event Support

Tiffany Peterkin serves as the Student & Event Support Chair for the MMB Boosters Club, bringing a wealth of administrative experience, strong organizational skills, and a passion for supporting students and their success. As an Executive Administrative Assistant, she has developed expertise in leadership, communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and creating efficient systems that help teams thrive in fast-paced environments.

A proud marching band alumna and Class of 2000 Drum Major, Tiffany understands firsthand the dedication, discipline, teamwork, and commitment required to be part of a successful band program. Her experiences as both a student leader and professional have shaped her ability to motivate others, foster positive relationships, and lead with confidence and purpose.

In her role with the boosters, Tiffany is committed to helping create meaningful experiences for students and families while supporting events that strengthen the band community. She values integrity, consistency, compassion, and leading by example, and strives to make a positive impact through service, encouragement, and community involvement.

This position focuses on student morale, event coordination, hospitality, and ensuring students are properly supported during performances, competitions, travel, and special events.

Tiffany Peterkin serves as a bridge between the booster organization, parents, volunteers, and students by helping create a safe, welcoming, and encouraging environment where students can thrive both on and off the field.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate student support needs during band events, competitions, games, camps, and trips
  • Assist with planning and organizing band-related events, banquets, celebrations, and appreciation activities

Precious Scott - Communications

Precious Scott serves as the Communications Chair for the MMB Boosters Club, bringing a strong commitment to service, leadership, and community engagement. As a dedicated band parent, she has been actively involved with the Mighty Marching Bucks for four years and understands the importance of fostering meaningful connections between students, families, staff, and supporters. Her son is a member of the drumline, and she is also the proud mother of three children, including two daughters who will graduate in 2026 from Hoke County High School and Dillon High School.

 

Precious holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Special Education, and a Master’s degree in School Administration. She currently serves with Cumberland County Schools, where she is dedicated to supporting students, families, and educational success through leadership and advocacy.

As Communications Chair, Precious is committed to ensuring that parents, supporters, and community partners remain informed, engaged, and connected to the band program. She believes that clear communication, integrity, collaboration, and positivity are essential to building a strong and supportive environment where students can thrive and the Mighty Marching Bucks can continue to grow and excel.

Through her leadership and passion for education, Precious strives to celebrate the accomplishments of students, strengthen relationships within the band community, and help promote the continued success of the Mighty Marching Bucks.

The Communications Chair is responsible for managing and coordinating communication efforts for the MMB Boosters Club. This role helps ensure parents, students, volunteers, sponsors, and community members stay informed, engaged, and connected to the Mighty Marching Bucks program.

Precious Scott serves as the voice of the booster organization by helping maintain clear, professional, and consistent communication across social media platforms, digital announcements, printed materials, and parent outreach.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain official booster communication platforms and social media pages
  • Create and distribute announcements regarding meetings, events, fundraisers, competitions, deadlines, and volunteer opportunities
  • Assist with the design and posting of flyers, graphics, promotional materials, and public updates
  • Ensure communication is accurate, timely, professional, and aligned with the MMB brand and mission

Rayvonda Rowe - Volunteer Coordinator and Special Events

Rayvonda Rowe is a proud Hoke County High School alumna (Class of 2003) and a dedicated educator who currently serves as a Second and Third Grade EC teacher in the Cumberland County School System. With experience as a Regular and Special Education Teacher Assistant, Office Support Staff member, and Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, she brings strong organizational skills, compassion, and a heart for students and families to her work on the booster board.


A lifelong learner, Ms. Rowe holds an Associate of Applied Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Fayetteville Technical Community College, a Bachelor of Theology from Hosanna Bible College, a Master’s degree in Theological Studies from Liberty University, and a Master’s in Special Education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, as well as certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Her background in education, ministry, and specialized support equips her to lead volunteers, build strong partnerships, and plan meaningful events that celebrate and uplift students.


Ms. Rowe serves as an Associate Minister at Leach Springs Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully serves under the leadership of Bruce C. Hurst. Rooted in her faith and testimony of God’s restoring power, she strives to create welcoming, well-organized, and engaging experiences for students, families, and the community through her role as Volunteer Coordinator and Special Events Chair.

The Volunteer Coordination & Special Events Chair is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and supporting volunteers while overseeing booster-sponsored events and special activities for the Mighty Marching Bucks program. This position plays a major role in creating successful, organized, and positive experiences for students, families, sponsors, and the community.

Tiffany Peterkin serves as a key support leader within the booster organization by helping ensure events are properly staffed, organized, welcoming, and student-focused while encouraging strong parent and community involvement throughout the season.

The Concessions & Hospitality Chair is responsible for overseeing concession operations and hospitality support for the MMB Boosters Club. This role helps ensure students, guests, volunteers, sponsors, judges, and visitors have a welcoming, organized, and positive experience during booster-sponsored events, competitions, games, and activities.

Tykeisha Singletary plays an important role in supporting fundraising efforts, event operations, and guest relations by helping manage concessions, hospitality areas, food service coordination, and volunteer support throughout the band season.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee concession operations during games, competitions, and booster-sponsored events
  • Assist with organizing hospitality areas for guests, judges, sponsors, volunteers, band staff, and visitors
  • Manage concession inventory, supplies, food preparation coordination, and operational organization

Evonne Edge - Sponsorship & Business Outreach / Hospitality

Evonne Edge brings more than 25 years of management experience, with a diverse background in accounting, invoicing, human resources, customer service, and organizational leadership.

Throughout her career, she has developed strong relationship-building and communication skills that enable her to effectively connect organizations with local businesses and community partners.

She also has extensive experience planning and coordinating large-scale community outreach events, creating meaningful opportunities for engagement and collaboration.

Her passion for fostering partnerships and supporting community involvement makes her a strong advocate in her role as Sponsorship Chair, where she is committed to supporting the continued growth and success of the band program.

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Evonne now resides in Raeford, North Carolina, with her spouse and their family. They are proud parents of five children, with two still at home. The family enjoys life on their small farm, and Evonne and her husband are actively involved in a motorcycle ministry focused on community outreach and service.
 
Evonne looks forward to building strong relationships with local businesses and community supporters to help expand opportunities for students and strengthen the band program.

This role helps strengthen community involvement, increase financial and in-kind support, and create welcoming experiences during booster-sponsored events and activities.

Evonne Edge serves as a key ambassador for the Mighty Marching Bucks program by helping connect the organization with businesses, donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community supporters while overseeing hospitality efforts that reflect professionalism, appreciation, and school pride.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, sponsors, donors, and community partners
  • Coordinate sponsorship outreach efforts for booster events, fundraising campaigns, competitions, and student support initiatives
  • Assist with securing monetary sponsorships, donations, in-kind contributions, and community partnerships
